Annual Meeting Notice

The Annual Meeting of KCT Credit Union will take place from 4pm - 5pm on Thursday, March 17th, 2022, at the Elgin Room at Gail Borden Public Library in downtown Elgin. The Share Balance Date of Record is December 31, 2021. The Date of Record is used to determine the eligibility of each member to vote in the election. The Annual Meeting is open to all KCT members. Upcoming change to myCUmortage member portal!

Good news KCT Mortgage holders! myCUmortgage, our trusted partner for servicing members' mortgages, will be launching a new mortgage portal for members to access their loan info online. Starting December 17th, 2021, Servicing Digital will give you more features and easier online access to your mortgage. If you're already enrolled in autopay, your mortgage payments won't be impacted. New IRS Proposal Could Affect Your Account

As Congress considers new infrastructure spending, lawmakers are considering unconventional sources of revenue to fund their plans. One proposal under consideration would require financial institutions like KCT to report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) many activities on accounts with balances over $600. Such an unprecedented grab of your personal financial data raises several concerns.

Hanover Township Shred Event

KCT and Hanover Township are once again teaming up for a community shred event on October 9th from 9am-11am at the Hanover Township Town Hall at 250 IL Route 59 in Bartlett. Bring your sensitive documents to be shredded safely. Only paper materials will be accepted, small paper clips and staples do not need to be removed. NO plastic bags. Shredding accepted until shred truck is full. Donations will also be accepted for the Hanover Township Food Pantry for non-perishable food, personal care and household items. IRS text scam alert

Please be aware of the latest text message scam that claims to be from the IRS. The scam states: "You have received a direct deposit of $1,200 from COVID-19 TREAS FUND. Further action is required to accept this payment into your account.”

The IRS has stated that "neither the IRS nor state agencies will ever text taxpayers asking for bank account information so that an Economic Impact Payments (EIP) deposit may be made."

Starting July 1, KCT’s branch lobbies for Elgin, South Elgin, Geneva, and Aurora will reopen for walk-ins at limited capacity.

Note: The downtown Elgin Gail Borden Branch will open on Monday, July 6th. Starting July 1, KCT’s branch lobbies for Elgin, South Elgin, Geneva, and Aurora will reopen for walk-ins at limited capacity. For anyone entering our lobbies, masks will be required, and 6-foot social distancing will also be enforced with ground decals denoting where to stand. If the lobby is at capacity, we ask that members wait outside or in their car until they are called in. Those meeting with a Member Service Representative (MSR) are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 847.741.3344, option 3. Members will be called in when the MSR is available.

Dear Members,

Together, we’re weathering historic times. As we continue to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation, the health, safety and well-being of both our members and employees remains our top priority. As a result, we have taken the following action to do our part to minimize and slow the spread of the virus in Illinois:

On March 18th, we will close all branch lobbies, while continuing operation of branch drive-ups and ATMs, until further notice. Below is a breakdown, by branch, of the steps we are taking:

Protect yourself from the recent Equifax Breach

On September 7, 2017, Equifax Inc, disclosed a recent data breach that potentially impacts roughly 143 million U.S. consumers. Beginning the middle of May through July 2017, criminals were able to exploit a vulnerability on an Equifax website application and gained unauthorized access to sensitive, personal information.

KCT Member wins 3rd prize in the Illinois Credit Union Foundation Raffle

Every year, the Illinois Credit Union League holds a raffle to help fund the Illinois Credit Union Foundation. Over 2,300 raffle tickets were sold this year and 10 Illinois credit union members won prizes ranging from $100 - $2,500. This year, KCT Credit Union Geneva Member since 2012, Larry Diffenbach, won 3rd prize of $500.

Illinois credit unions demonstrated a “people over profits” philosophy

A2A transfers now available

You can now make transfers between accounts outside KCT Credit Union with A2A (account-to-account) transfers. Once you add and verify access to your accounts outside KCT, you can make transfers using KCT Online and KCT Mobile.

KCT donates to the Elgin Community College Foundation

KCT was proud to contribute $500 to the ECC Foundation. In conjunction with the Elgin Community College Faculty Association’s (ECCFA) $10,000 donation, this money will help fund student scholarships.

ATM Skimming Alert

There has been an increase in ATM skimming fraud in the Chicagoland area. Skimming devices can be installed on ATMs by fraudsters to collect your card information/PIN.  This information is used to create fraudulent cards to withdraw money from your accounts.

New ATMs installed at local high schools

Members who are teachers, faculty, students or families at local high schools now have access to new ATMs at Elgin High School, South Elgin High School, Bartlett High School and Streamwood High School.

New ATM installed at the Kane County Circuit Clerk

In September KCT has installed a new ATM for members to use at the Kane County Circuit Clerk Building located off Randall Road in St. Charles. 

New ATM installed at Hampshire high school

At the start of the school year, teachers, faculty, students and families at Hampshire High School will have access to a new ATM just inside the main enterance to the school. This is the third ATM that has been installed within D300.
