Friendly reminder that all KCT Branches & the Contact Center will be observing Holiday Hours on December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, and January 1st, 2025.

The Elgin Main, Aurora, Geneva, and Carpentersville branches will close at 1pm on 12/24 and 12/31, and be closed all day on 12/25 and 01/01/25. 

The Gail Borden Library Main Branch (downtown Elgin) will be closed all day on December 24th - 25th, and December 31st - January 1st.

The KCT Branch at Gail Borden South will be temporarily closed due to Gail Borden Library's Renovation, starting Wednesday, August 21st, 2024.

The KCT Gail Borden Main Branch will be closed on Friday, April 26th, 2024, in observance of a Library Staff Training Day. All other KCT branches, including the KCT Gail Borden South Branch, will be available during this time. Regular business hours at the Gail Borden Main Branch will resume on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. 

April 3, 2024: Two Illinois Credit Unions - Elgin-based KCT Credit Union and Lake Forest headquartered Consumers Credit Union - have announced their intent to pursue a merger later this year, subject to regulatory and member approvals. The companies will continue to operate as Consumers Credit Union, and after merging will be the 5th largest credit union in Illinois, with nearly $4 Billion in total assets and over 260,000 members.

The KCT branch at Elgin Community College will be closed starting Monday, March 25th, through Sunday, March 31st, for the college's Spring Recess. All other KCT branches will be operating on regular business hours during this time. Regular hours at the ECC branch will resume on Monday, April 1st, 2024. 

A friendly reminder that on Monday, February 19th, all KCT branches will be closed in observance of Presidents' Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, February 20th.

In partnership with Village Fresh Market, KCT is thrilled to announce the Grand Opening of our newest branch, located inside Village Fresh Market at 350 Lake Marian Road, Carpentersville Illinois. The Grand Opening celebration will take place on Wednesday, October 18th from 3-5pm, with a ribbon cutting at 4pm.

Free food and refreshments will be served. The public is invited to celebrate this unique partnership between two local organizations both dedicated to serving their community.
